Your Family’s Gateway to Magical Marrakesh

Great guide and great introduction hike to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains around Imlil. Made me want to do a longer hike all the way up Toubkal for next time I go to Morocco!
Also did a camel ride in between Marrakech and Imlil

Our tour was over 2 days starting from pick up in Marrakech, 2 nights near Imlil and return to Marrakech and the services of a private guide for 2 days trekking. Hamid was very helpful in arranging private transport to and from Marrakech. Our local guide, Hassan, lived locally and was a great source of interesting information about the area. He was able to access our walking capability and tailor our treks accordingly, encouraging us to take a steady pace whilst tackling some challenging peaks. We enjoyed visiting his home and meeting his family who were very welcoming. Everybody we met seemed to know Hassan, indicating the close knit communities in the villages surrounding Imlil. A really great couple of days and having a personal guide made the hiking much more relaxing.

We had an amazing day trek with Mohammed! We trekked through pine forests and visited a waterfall. Mohammed was so knowledgable and interesting to talk to about a whole range of topics. We had a delicious lunch at his family home cooked by his mother, who kindly accommodated us being vegetarian. Mohammed also took lots of great photos of us. Thank you also to Hamid who organised it for us seamlessly!
